□ Send the revised proposal
Unfinished at day’s end.
Automatic task rollover
Unfinished tasks carry into the next day when you open Naremis. Earlier dates keep a read-only history, so you can see where the work started and when it was finished.

A three-day example
Suppose “Send the revised proposal” begins on Monday and is not finished until Wednesday.
□ Send the revised proposal
Unfinished at day’s end.
□ Send the revised proposal
Active here; Monday keeps a moved trace.
✓ Send the revised proposal
Completed here; Tuesday keeps its trace too.
Rollover
Automatic rollover is the default path for unfinished tasks. The task advances only one local day at a time, so the notebook can show each date it passed through.
The earlier page receives a moved occurrence linked to the active task. It remains read-only history, not a duplicate task you must clean up.
Scheduling
Scheduling is deliberate: you select the date where the task belongs. Rollover is observational: Naremis carries forward what remained unfinished. Both preserve a movement trace, but they describe different decisions.
If the task simply did not happen, leave it to roll. If you have decided it belongs on Friday, schedule it for Friday. If it no longer matters, cancel it so it stops moving.
The same unfinished task moves forward. Once you complete or cancel it, it stops carrying into later days.
A repeating rule creates work again on a schedule, even after you completed the previous task. Naremis does not support recurring tasks.
Naremis catches up when you open or return to the notebook, using your local calendar day. It preserves a trace for each missed day; it does not need to run in the background at midnight.
