Quick start
- Open Naremis. Today’s page appears automatically.
- Select the empty task line and type the next action.
- Press Enter to save and continue with another task.
- Use the checkbox to complete work, or open the task controls to schedule or cancel it.
Writing tasks
Enter and Shift+Enter
Enter creates a new task or splits the current task at the cursor. Shift + Enter adds a line break inside one task.
Multiline paste
Paste several non-empty lines into an empty task to create a checklist point for each line. Paste into existing text to keep the material in that task.
Quick priority with ***
End the task text with three asterisks and save to toggle priority. Naremis removes the marker before storage, so Call the clinic *** becomes the priority task “Call the clinic.”
Priority and order
A newly prioritized item receives a one-time bump. After that, manual order wins. Drag on pointer devices, use the touch controls, or use the accessible move controls exposed for keyboard and assistive technology.
Scheduling and task outcomes
Schedule a task when you have chosen a future date. Completed, cancelled, and moved are different outcomes:
- Completed means the work was done.
- Cancelled means you decided it should not continue. It will not roll forward.
- Moved is the historical trace left when the active occurrence continues on another date.
Rollover and history
Unfinished tasks move forward one local calendar day at a time. Each missed day keeps a moved trace linked to the active task. Past pages are read-only history.
If you restore a cancellation from a past page, Naremis creates a linked active occurrence today. It does not rewrite the historical cancellation. The rollover feature page shows a three-day example.
Appearance
Open appearance settings to choose Vintage Paper, Modern Light, Modern Dark, or system behavior; select a locally bundled font; and adjust accents, task dividers, dot grid, hover treatment, and the notebook frame. Turn off Notebook frame when you want the paper to fill the browser window; the task column remains centered at a readable width. Light and dark accents are stored independently. These choices change presentation only.
This Device
This Device is the signed-out storage mode. Tasks live in a versioned IndexedDB database inside the current browser profile. No account is required and Naremis does not impose a task quota; browser and device capacity still applies.
Naremis cannot see or recover local-only tasks. Clearing site data or losing the browser profile can permanently remove them.
Google Sync and local import
Choose Sync and continue with Google to create a synchronized notebook. Google supplies account identity; task text is sent to Naremis and its storage processor, not to Google.
When Sync is enabled for the first time, Naremis imports the complete local notebook. The import is merge-only and designed to be safely retried. Local originals are removed only after all import operations are durably acknowledged. Sync is free, optional, and not end-to-end encrypted.
Offline behavior
The first successful web load requires a connection so the application shell can be cached. After that, the notebook can open offline and writes to its local database first. Synchronized changes wait in a durable outbox and are sent when a connection returns.
Sign out
Signing out ends the synchronized session and returns the browser to This Device mode. It does not copy synchronized tasks into the local-only notebook. The two storage states remain intentionally separate after import.
Conflict recovery
If another device changed the same task first, Naremis does not silently overwrite that newer revision. It records a recoverable conflict, refreshes the server version, and lets the interface guide reconciliation. Retrying the same operation will not create a duplicate.
Remove local data
To erase This Device data, use your browser’s site-data settings for naremis.com. This can remove the notebook database, appearance, consent, authentication, and cached offline files together. Local removal cannot be undone by Naremis, so enable Sync first if you need a recoverable copy.
Delete a synchronized account
Email support@naremis.com from the address associated with Google sign-in. Naremis will verify the request before deleting the synchronized account and content, subject to limited security records or legal retention described in the Privacy Policy.
Desktop status
Naremis for macOS, Windows, and Linux is coming soon. No installer is currently offered and there is no email waitlist. Planned capabilities remain clearly labelled on the desktop page. Use the web app in the meantime.
