1. Acceptance
By using Naremis, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Naremis. If local law requires a higher age for you to consent to online services, you must meet that age or have valid permission from a parent or guardian.
3. The service
Naremis provides a daily to-do list that can be used locally in a browser without an account. Optional free Sync can store and synchronize supported notebook data through an account. Desktop applications are planned but are not currently part of the available service.
The service is offered without a paid plan at launch. Naremis may change, add, or remove features, integrations, limits, or availability over time.
4. Accounts and Google sign-in
You are responsible for maintaining control of the Google account used for Sync and for activity performed through the resulting Naremis session. Notify support@naremis.com if you believe the account or session has been compromised. Your relationship with Google remains subject to Google’s own terms.
5. Local data responsibility
In This Device mode, the only notebook copy may be inside the selected browser profile. You are responsible for protecting the device, browser data, and any backups. Clearing site data, removing the profile, or losing the device can permanently erase the notebook. Naremis cannot recover local-only data it did not receive.
6. Synchronized data responsibility
Sync is designed to improve cross-device access and recovery, but it is not a guaranteed backup service. You remain responsible for keeping any independent records or exports needed for critical obligations. Sync is not end-to-end encrypted.
7. Your content
You retain ownership of task text and other content you enter. You grant Naremis a limited, non-exclusive permission to host, copy, transmit, reconcile, secure, and otherwise process synchronized content only as needed to operate, protect, support, and improve the service or comply with law. This permission ends when the content is deleted, except for limited backups, security records, and legal retention.
8. Acceptable use
Do not use Naremis to break the law, infringe rights, distribute malware, probe or bypass security, access another person’s account, overload infrastructure, automate abusive traffic, resell unauthorized access, or interfere with other users.
Naremis may apply reasonable internal fair-use, storage, request, and abuse-prevention limits to protect a free shared service. These controls may change and do not create a published usage entitlement.
9. Suspension and termination
Naremis may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect the service or others, investigate abuse, comply with law, address security risk, or respond to a material breach of these terms. Where practical, Naremis will provide notice or an opportunity to resolve the issue.
You may stop using local mode at any time by removing local data. To request deletion of a synchronized account, email support from the associated sign-in address. Verification may be required.
10. Service changes and availability
Naremis may change or discontinue all or part of the service. No uptime, support-response, data-recovery, or service-level guarantee is provided. Maintenance, network failure, provider outages, security events, and software defects may interrupt access or synchronization.
11. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, Naremis is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, continuous availability, or error-free operation. Naremis does not promise that task data will never be lost, delayed, duplicated, conflicted, or unavailable.
Naremis is a general productivity tool, not a medical, legal, financial, safety, emergency, or records-compliance system. Do not rely on it as the only record for critical deadlines or obligations.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Naremis will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of data, profits, revenue, opportunity, goodwill, or business interruption; or harm caused by account compromise, local storage removal, synchronization failure, or third-party services.
Where liability cannot be excluded, Naremis’s aggregate liability relating to the service will be limited to the greater of the amount you paid Naremis in the twelve months before the claim or US$50. Because the service is free at launch, this clause is intended to provide a modest fixed ceiling where legally allowed. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so they may not apply to you.
13. Changes to these terms
Naremis may update these terms as the service changes. The effective date will be revised after substantive changes. Continuing to use the service after updated terms take effect means you accept them, where permitted by law.
