A complete keyboard workflow
| Action | Keyboard workflow |
|---|---|
| Writing tasks | Open today and press N outside a text field to focus a new task. Type one action, then press Enter to start the next task. Shift+Enter adds a line break within a task. |
| Task selection | Press Escape to leave editing. Use the arrow keys or J/K to select a task. Space completes the selected task; Enter edits it again. These actions apply to a selected row, not while you are typing. |
| Priority and order | Use P to mark a selected task as a priority. It moves to the top once; your later manual order wins. Use Option/Alt with the up or down arrow to reorder. |
| Scheduling and outcomes | Press S on a selected task to schedule it, then T for tomorrow, W for next week, or D for the calendar. Cancel work you no longer intend to do with X; cancelled tasks do not roll forward. |
Find a command when you forget a shortcut
On Mac, Command+K opens the command menu and Command+/ opens the shortcut guide. On Windows and Linux, use Ctrl instead of Command. The app shows the labels for your operating system.
Keyboard shortcuts are optional
Single-letter global shortcuts are ignored inside text fields and can be disabled in the shortcut guide. Pointer and touch controls remain available. Naremis keeps tasks in plain text; it does not interpret Markdown.
Can I undo a task action?
Command+Z on Mac or Ctrl+Z elsewhere reverses the latest supported task action. While editing text, the text field keeps its normal undo behavior.
