This Device
Your browser is the notebook.
Naremis uses a versioned IndexedDB database, not a temporary page state. Each change is written locally before the interface treats it as complete.
No Naremis task quota
Naremis does not impose a task count in local mode. Available browser and device storage still applies.
Offline after first load
A service worker caches the application shell while IndexedDB holds the notebook itself.
The important trade-off
Local-only also means only here.
Clearing site data, resetting the browser profile, losing the device, or removing the local database can remove the notebook. Naremis cannot recover local-only tasks because it never received them.
If that risk is uncomfortable, enable Sync before clearing storage or changing devices.
Protect a local notebook
- Avoid clearing data for naremis.com.
- Keep your browser profile backed up.
- Use Sync if you need server recovery or another device.
Optional free Sync
Add an account only when it solves a problem.
Google sign-in identifies you; Naremis then imports the complete local notebook into its synchronized store. Your task text is not sent to Google.

Storage changes; the one-list notebook, task outcomes, and history rules do not.
How to use your list offline
- Open the app with a connection and let it finish loading before going offline.
- Add a task. Use the same browser and profile to return to it.
- When offline, keep writing and checking off tasks. If Sync is enabled, reconnect to send and receive changes.
Private browsing, browser cleanup, or storage eviction can remove the saved app or notebook. An offline cache is not a backup. See local storage and recovery help.
