Naremis is a free browser to-do list for people who want their daily tasks to work without a Google account. Stay in local mode, keep your own task order, and let unfinished work carry forward. Google sign-in is optional and only needed for Naremis Sync.

Suppose you need to make a phone call, pick up groceries, and finish a draft. You want to see those actions when you open your list, without bringing email or a calendar into the session. Naremis opens directly on today’s page, with a calendar available for future scheduling and past history.
A dated notebook and a calendar-linked task list solve different needs. If a task belongs next to an appointment or starts as an email, keeping it in your Google workflow may be more useful. Naremis is a fit when you want a separate space for personal actions, not a replacement for calendar alerts or shared Workspace responsibilities.

Sync: an optional cloud copy
Google sign-in enables Naremis Sync and imports your local notebook. Task data is stored in Naremis’s synchronized service. Sync needs a connection and is not end-to-end encrypted.
Know what local-only means
Clearing site data or losing the device can permanently remove local-only tasks. Local storage is not a backup or a promise of protection from someone with access to your device.
Naremis has no AI processing of task text. Optional usage analytics require consent and exclude task content. Read the privacy policy, analytics policy, and offline storage explanation.

Choose the tasks you want to handle today and copy their titles as plain text. Leave timed notifications, calendar-linked work, and shared Google tasks in their existing workflow while you try the notebook.
- Open Naremis in your browser and write a few tasks for today.
- Paste multiple lines into an empty task to create separate tasks. Or start with these sample daily lists.
- Check off finished work and return tomorrow to see what rolls forward.
There is no direct Google Tasks import. Pasting plain text does not transfer dates, history, attachments, or feature settings. Native Naremis desktop and mobile downloads are not released; use the browser app.

Questions about switching from Google Tasks
Does Naremis require Google sign-in?
No. Open the browser app and use This Device mode without an account. Google sign-in is only for optional Naremis Sync, which stores a synchronized copy of your notebook.
Does Google Tasks require using Gemini?
The documented Gemini connection is optional; this comparison does not say AI is required to use Google Tasks. Naremis has no AI task features or connection to Gemini.
