Naremis vs. TeuxDeux

A free TeuxDeux alternative for daily lists.

Naremis is a free browser to-do list with automatic rollover and no sign-up for local use. If you like a dated daily planner, compare its one-day notebook with TeuxDeux’s week view, recurring tasks, and mobile apps.

The real Naremis browser app: one dated page, plain-text tasks, and your own order.

Keep the rollover. Choose how much of the week to see.

Suppose Monday’s list includes sending a proposal, booking a repair, and buying groceries. You finish two tasks. In Naremis, the remaining task moves forward when you return on Tuesday, while Monday keeps a moved trace. You can complete it, cancel it, or schedule it for a specific future day.

TeuxDeux also rolls unfinished tasks forward. Rollover alone is not a reason to switch. Try Naremis if you prefer working from one dated page and browsing earlier days as read-only history. Keep a weekly planner if seeing several days together helps you make decisions.

Naremis vs. TeuxDeux: what is included?

The crosses in Naremis’s column are deliberate product choices. Read the conditions alongside each check; an integration or paid feature is not the same as a built-in free feature.

This Device: local-only tasks

No signup. Task text stays in the browser’s local database. After an initial online load and caching, the notebook works offline in that browser. Keep the same browser profile to find your list.

Sync: an optional cloud copy

Google sign-in enables Naremis Sync and imports your local notebook. Task data is stored in Naremis’s synchronized service. Sync needs a connection and is not end-to-end encrypted.

Know what local-only means

Clearing site data or losing the device can permanently remove local-only tasks. Local storage is not a backup or a promise of protection from someone with access to your device.

Naremis has no AI processing of task text. Optional usage analytics require consent and exclude task content. Read the privacy policy, analytics policy, and offline storage explanation.

Try a day alongside TeuxDeux

Bring only the unfinished tasks you want to work on today. Keep recurring routines in TeuxDeux while you test Naremis; rollover will not recreate them after completion.

  1. Open Naremis in your browser and write a few tasks for today.
  2. Paste multiple lines into an empty task to create separate tasks. Or start with these sample daily lists.
  3. Check off finished work and return tomorrow to see what rolls forward.

There is no direct TeuxDeux import. Pasting plain text does not transfer dates, history, attachments, or feature settings. Native Naremis desktop and mobile downloads are not released; use the browser app.

Questions about switching from TeuxDeux

Is Naremis a free TeuxDeux alternative?

Yes, for a personal daily list with automatic rollover. Naremis is free under the current offer, including optional Sync. It does not reproduce TeuxDeux’s week view, recurring tasks, or native mobile apps.

What happens if I miss several days?

Naremis reconciles unfinished tasks through missed local calendar days when the notebook runs again. Earlier dates preserve moved traces. A cancelled task stops moving; a completed task stays completed.
