Naremis vs. Trello

A simple Trello alternative for personal to-dos.

Naremis is a free browser alternative to Trello for a personal daily checklist. Start without a board, card workflow, or account. It keeps plain-text tasks and dated history, while Trello provides visual boards and a broader collaborative workflow.

The real Naremis browser app: one dated page, plain-text tasks, and your own order.

Write three actions without building three cards.

Imagine your personal board mainly contains small actions such as reviewing a draft, paying a bill, and making a call. In Naremis, those actions become lines on today’s page. Complete one, cancel another, and let an unfinished task move ahead. You can look back at earlier days without moving cards between columns.

A board becomes useful when seeing stages, ownership, or a shared queue changes how you work. If those signals matter, simplifying them away would remove valuable context. Naremis is for the individual checklist inside a day; keep Trello for a visual pipeline, team handoffs, or work that relies on card-level detail.

Naremis vs. Trello: what is included?

The crosses in Naremis’s column are deliberate product choices. Read the conditions alongside each check; an integration or paid feature is not the same as a built-in free feature.

Storage and offline scopeLocal browser storage; offline after initial loading and caching. Optional Sync stores a cloud copy.Trello’s boards support a shared workflow. This comparison does not evaluate every Trello client’s offline support or security. Naremis’s local mode is for an individual notebook; it cannot keep a Trello board synchronized.

A check means available; conditions are stated in the cell. A cross means absent. A dash means unverified, not absent. This is a comparison of workflows, not a security ranking.

This Device: local-only tasks

No signup. Task text stays in the browser’s local database. After an initial online load and caching, the notebook works offline in that browser. Keep the same browser profile to find your list.

Sync: an optional cloud copy

Google sign-in enables Naremis Sync and imports your local notebook. Task data is stored in Naremis’s synchronized service. Sync needs a connection and is not end-to-end encrypted.

Know what local-only means

Clearing site data or losing the device can permanently remove local-only tasks. Local storage is not a backup or a promise of protection from someone with access to your device.

Naremis has no AI processing of task text. Optional usage analytics require consent and exclude task content. Read the privacy policy, analytics policy, and offline storage explanation.

Try a day alongside Trello

Copy a few card titles or checklist actions as plain text. Keep card descriptions, attachments, comments, labels, and team workflows in Trello. Naremis does not import boards or reproduce their automation.

  1. Open Naremis in your browser and write a few tasks for today.
  2. Paste multiple lines into an empty task to create separate tasks. Or start with these sample daily lists.
  3. Check off finished work and return tomorrow to see what rolls forward.

There is no direct Trello import. Pasting plain text does not transfer dates, history, attachments, or feature settings. Native Naremis desktop and mobile downloads are not released; use the browser app.

Questions about switching from Trello

Is Naremis a Kanban alternative?

It is an alternative only if you no longer need Kanban for your personal tasks. Naremis has one dated list, not columns or a visual workflow. Choose a board tool when workflow stages matter.

Does automatic rollover need a Trello-style automation rule?

No. Rollover is built into Naremis’s daily notebook. Unfinished tasks continue forward when the notebook reconciles; earlier dates retain history. This is not a configurable automation engine.
